Hey everyone! Wanted to share a quick update with you on what the last leg of the race will look like for gap h!!

For starters, our squad was supposed to be going to Romania for the last 2 months of the race. However, the country neighbors Ukraine, so AIM decided it was too great a risk to send such a large group amongst all the uncertainty happening just across the border. Having Romania taken off the table was hard news to process. However, where the Lord closes one door He always opens another.

SO with that being said, H squad is now in Quito, Ecuador(South America) for the remainder of the race!!!

We have been here for a couple weeks now and are all settled into new ministry! The ministry my team & I are placed with is called El Hormiguero, or “The Anthill”. This name was inspired by the verse Proverbs 6:6.

Tuesday-Friday my team works in a school, helping teachers & leading devotionals! In the afternoons we have the incredible opportunity of building a type of apologetics program based on the science topics teachers are using in their classes! Saturdays are our busiest days, spending the first half at the El Hormiguero base for a feeding program. Here we package food bags, and get to speak to/pray over those who come to pick them up. In the late afternoon we go to a youth group with our ministry host’s church!

Ecuador is a spiritually heavy place in many ways. People are desperate for true hope and joy!! Please pray for the people we encounter to have softened hearts, ready to receive the message of life with Jesus!

Thank you for all your support these past 7 MONTHS! Excited to share with you what these last 2 look like!

much love,

ella

  1. Ecuador sounds amazing! So glad you are in a safe environment. I think it’s really neat how. you’re working in the schools and supporting teacher, and hearing what they are teaching the kids. Provides great opportunities to speak truth into their lives. Since our God created life, and science, and everything we see, to truly know and appreciate science, the kids need to know about our amazing Creator! 🙂

    Enjoy this new ministry!
